3. So soon? This really confuses our dog, ya know.
He has a very firm internal clock.

5. I wish we could keep daylight savings time all year long.
Or keep standard time all year long. Either way. Just pick a time and stick to it.

8. I hate DST. Just when it's finally gotten light in the morning when I drive to work,
it's going to be dark again for the next three weeks.

This changing clock times is just ridiculous. It's utterly useless and meaningless and archaic. Just stick with Standard Time and stop all this idiotic switching back and forth.

Bah! :grr:

9. I agree, I agree, I agree!!!!
I hate switching the time and it is ridiculous and saves no energy whatsoever. I want a vote on it. Can someone handy on DU put up a poll?

11. Bingo.
DST isn't a bad idea, but if it lasts eight months out of the year why don't we just make noon officially 1 pm.

It's an artificial construct. As a farm kid, I know those cows and chickens and my cat are gonna wake up at the same time, clock change or no.

I completely agree on this.

12. I'm like the cows and chickens and cats -- my internal clock is what it is.
And the older I get, the longer it takes for me to adjust to the artificial change of clock time.

Being a working class wage slave, I have no choice but to obey the arbitrary tyranny of clock time. But being an aging natural being in tune with my internal circadian rhythms, I pay a continually higher physiological price for being jacked around in such an absurd and illogical manner year after fucking year.

Enough already! Pick a time and stick with it!

15. I agree that we ought to stick to one time.
Personally, I'd prefer DST. It's going to be dark when I leave on either schedule, but DST gives me some daylight when I get home.

Still, I'd be grateful for either, if we could just quit screwing up my body clock, and my rest, twice a year.

13. I agree
although I like the "extra hour" of sleep when we fall back, I would rather spring forward and stay that way

16. We don't switch...
in Saskatchewan, same time year round. I like to tell people that since we don't have many children using horses to go to school with, there is no need to change our clocks.
