I remember the controversy with him appearing on the Smothers Brothers but I forgot that Johnny Cash stood up to his normal base and let him sing his songs of peace and freedom on his show.

One more reason to love the man in black.

I remember when he died. It was the first ex-president to die when I was a boy.
