Your Congressperson and Senators
What are your views of your three Congresspeople in D.C.?

Let's see if we can get posters from all 50 states in this topic.

Mine:

Rep. Anna Eshoo (D, CA-14): Mixed views. Overall, fairly positive. She's very supportive of issues like LGBT rights and innovative technology, but she's also a little too supportive of the pharmaceutical industry for my taste.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). Ugh, way too hawkish on foreign policy and beholden to the MIC. Don't like her.

Sen. Barbara Boxer: (D-CA) My favorite of the three, and one of my favorite Senators. She takes blunt, principled stands on a lot of issues, and I agree with her on many issues.

3. I have the same congress critters that you do
I get very frustrated with Feinstein, but prefer her to a Republican

I like Boxer

I also like Anna Eshoo. I remember hearing Anna Eshoo speak at a town hall meeting in Sunnyvale right after Medicare Part D (the drug part of Medicare) was passed. She said that the Democrats wanted to let the government bargain for a discount for drugs for seniors because the seniors would be buying a large quantity of drugs. I think she had in mind that the government would get a discount for seniors the way the military gets a discount for drugs for service people. But the Repubs were against this plan. My impression was that Eshoo was very pro-people and for holding drug companies accountable.

4. Ok. here we go.
Representative Bruce Braley (D, IA-1). A mover and shaker in "cash for clunkers". Supports public option. I have actually talked to him about this subject. Supports Unions. Good man.
Tom Harkin. (D-IA). Long time Iowa Senator. Says he supports health care reform and most certainly supports many Liberal causes. He is a true Iowan and looks out for his fellow Iowans.
Chuck Grassley(R-IA). What can I say? He is well known without a doubt. He also represents the people who got him elected, the insurance and big pharma companies. His ad campaign last time he was up for election was that he mows his own lawn. Except he doesn't use John Deere, which is one of Iowa's largest employers and would likley appreciate his help.

6. Raleigh NC checking in....
Hagan. Jury is out - an improvement over Liddy Dole (of course), but....
Burr. BRRRRR!!! Horrible, horrible, horrible. Gotta go, but the Dems don't seem to have much to put up against him.
David Price - good guy. On the right side of most issues.
