3. I may live and work in the PRC, but I am still an American and 28 of my friends are
in Afganistan and Iraq. I've already lost 32 people I knew or were friends with due to them.

BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW!!!

6. No. . .raised in a very poor, rural area of NY and our Gudiance Counselors only knew
four options for most of the farm kids who wanted to "make something of their lives."

Army
Navy
Air Force
Marines

College? According to them, it was a waste of money and the American government will pay for your college if you enlist. Since most became grunts, they are career enlistees.

Since my county in NY (Sullivan) was small. . .yes, I knew most everyone in the county.

However, knowing people who died also means former students of mine and of my mother's. I had to go to three of those funerals and I was the only teacher from the school that showed up because I was the only teacher invited.

The only thing worse for a teacher other than burying a promising young mind before their time is being told by a student that there is abuse in their home, they are a victim of it and not to tell anyone because they are afraid for their lives if someone knows. The Law says I must tell, but the student trusts me enough to tell me and begs me with tears in their eyes to "keep it secret."

Those who say teaching is easy are assholes.

4. I know. . .the MIC is making too much money and GIs are worthless to them anyway.
Hell has a good place for war profiteers and their enablers.
