Time to join the Tea..,..er, the Coffee Party!!
Edited on Fri Feb-26-10 09:03 AM by CLANG
MISSION: The Coffee Party Movement gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them.

And is there room in this movement for those of us who like a hint of hazelnut flavoring?

8. Just wondering how long it would be until
multiple factions started fighting with each other...

Cream

Milk

Black

Sugar

No sugar

French Roast

Colombian

Instant vs brewed

Juan Valdez vs his donkey as the "star" of the coffee commercials

The possibilities are frightening.

12. I would like to see Democrats govern with their majority and Republicans choke on their own shit
Edited on Fri Feb-26-10 10:41 AM by kenny blankenship
I want to see Democrats govern as DEMOCRATS not Reagan Republicans who give a little lip service to the environment, education and health care, during primaries and now and then, to keep their voter base from abandoning them while they continue with economic and social policies the Gipper would be proud of. I am not sure where "cooperation" fits in there except in the need for party discipline. I want to see Democrats confront Republican obstructionism with aggressive unified New Deal agenda pushing. Republicans want to get in the way? Reach out with a flame thrower. Ben Nelson wants to triangulate against his party's libruls and his black President? Fine, Nebraska gets nothing for roads, schools, etc. This country stands at the edge of the abyss and simply cannot afford another decade of Reaganism, nor can it afford Reagan-lite. For thirty years Democrats have cooperated with and cowered before Republicans, and we're facing utter ruin as a country now because of it. No more cooperation.
