Irregardless of Opinions of Cable News Chatterers, Both Parties
gave America an edifying example today. For a change
America saw their leaders could be grownups. Also
they illustrated mastery of the subject.

Every now and then this is more important than coming to
some great conclusion at the meeting.

Pres. Obama set just the right tone.

1. Um...no. I saw Republicans saying the same old horseshit, lies, smears and acting like children.

Spare me this "both parties" trash.

17. Yeah, have to agree
Edited on Thu Feb-25-10 09:52 PM by DireStrike
The only civility displayed was in the fact that they didn't (quite) engage in ad hominem - or physical - attacks.

Their tactic of reusing the same destroyed arguments and lies over and over again is sadly effective. Why should they stop?

11. No. It's not even acceptable 'slang..' It's not used in
coinage or as a substitute for a standard term. There is no such word. Period.

That's okay. Go ahead and dismiss it as idiocy if it's giving you trouble. No one will think that you're a humorless stick-in-the-mud, I promise.

Edited on Thu Feb-25-10 10:37 PM by Lisa0825
I didn't think that disclaimer was needed, but I guess I was wrong! LOL

But truly, "misunderestimated" is my favorite made-up word. I use it occasionally, generally among fellow liberals who typically know it's origin, so no explanation is usually necessary.

Even though I did also still feel like the Repubes were obstructing any progress, it's good for them all to be on record and to be being irresponsible with people's health care in front of the public.

22. OK, I attempted to make a funny upthread myself, but I apologize...
Your post does make a valid point, and now I feel kinda bad for the grammar squad (myself included) monopolizing the replies.

So I thought I would reply again to say, yes, I agree with you, and I hope that you didn't mind the ribbing.
