"Ignore Public Option at your Great Peril"
How is that ending statement to be taken, as a threat, or just sound advice. It is how Rachel ended her show last night.

1. sound advice.
And she's right --

If this turns into one big insurance bail out, we can fully expect big voter turn out, starting in November, to bring forth the CHANGE we'll WANT because of betrayal by politicians.

2. Really???
What CHANGE will the voters bring about, Republicans? Will you vote Republican for "Change"? What I think it will do is keep people at home and not vote at all, which will probably bring in Republicans but I doubt any Democrats will actually vote for them.

8. So answer me this -- WHEN are we getting the CHANGE we can believe in?
I think many people will be looking for alternatives to BOTH parties - because it's quite evident that Obama is a corporate sockpuppet, and has NO intention of completing even the basic campaign promises he made to get into office.

YOU may enjoy the fit of the blue jackboots, but many of us don't. And many of us are beyond angry.

3. Could well be the difference between losing 4 or 5 Senate seats- or the Senate majority
Then there's the effects down ticket and on the next redistricting.

5. Hard to say. I think she overstates the depth of support
Yes, polls support the Public Option. But that is different than folks saying "No Public Option, no vote". I don't think there are more than a few percent of Americans willing to put PO up there as their top, deciding, issue. Unfortunately.

7. He got elected.
And his only concern seems to be repeating that feat, using the Clinton model of supporting Corporate interests and appearing to be a "centrist".

11. That's where I am with this whole issue.
It's a threat, sound advice for the next election, and a promise.
