Iraq Draw Down? Not so fast!
IRAQ’S March 7 national election, and the formation of a new government that will follow, carry huge implications for both Iraqis and American policy. It appears now that the results are unlikely to resolve key political struggles that could return the country to sectarianism and violence.

If so, President Obama may find himself later this year considering whether once again to break his campaign promises about ending the war, and to offer to keep tens of thousands of troops in Iraq for several more years. Surprisingly, that probably is the best course for him, and for Iraqi leaders, to pursue.

Beat those war drums.

Louder!

FASTER!!!

1. I'm trying not to remember
when John McCain said he wanted us in Iraq until 2050, and we voted for the other guy.

Trying not to remember that.

2. Heavy drinking may help with the forgetting.
BTW - what's up with the unrecs? Is it because the nature of the story sucks or because some people don't like DU'ers calling for an end to the war?

4. I'm guessing if they announced themselves
They'd be banned.

Buncha @#$%&$#@. If you like the war so much the recruiting station is *that* way. And while you're off invading other people's homes and risking your life those of us with a conscience will be trying to end this international miscarriage of justice.

6. If Obama wasn't pro-war they wouldn't be either. Not a lot of deep thinking going on.

5. Actually, the Maliki-government-induced problems should cause us to withdraw the troops sooner.
By next Tuesday would be good.
