Stabenow becomes latest Dem to sign public option letter

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) on Monday signed a letter urging Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to pass a public health insurance option using the budget reconciliation process.

So far, 22 senators have signed the letter sponsored by the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC). Stabenow is a liberal member of the powerful Senate Finance Committee.
