That is why deficits have never mattered to that bunch. They lowered taxes on the rich and spent spent spent especially on their cronies just to wrack up debt like crazy. They know the way to cut assistance to those in need is to drive us bankrupt so we can't afford any of that.

They will be sitting pretty on the side in their gated communities away from the chaos they intend to create.

When our side says deficits don't matter and we can spend spend spend because Bush did it we are playing right into their hands.

I was so appalled when I first read about starving the beast and shrinking government so it could be drowned in a bathtub. Doesn't it seem people here are unaware of this concept? When I see the argument that Bush did it so we should too I just cringe.
