This makes as much sense as cutting taxes when the government is in such need of money.

Tax collection is the MAIN WAY the government gets its money to operate.

I know we would have MORE money retained if we did not participate in wars or spend so much on the military, but we all know that's not gonna change, so the ONLY way for the government to continue to function is a choice of two evils:

1. spend less on things for people who cannot complain much, or who are paid little attention when they DO complain

2. raise taxes on the group of people that's the largest (more bang for the buck..and they do not have tax-accountants on retainer.. and they are not organized and represented by lobbyists who pay for political campaigns)

Cutting taxes does NOT increase revenues, no matter how much they try to spin it, it's just math.. 3-2 will never = 7

1. The government has to spend money to help this economy
and they can't spend what they don't have. Cutting taxes makes no sense at all.

3. What they really should be doing is cutting taxes on the poor and middle class
while RAISING taxes on the wealthy.

2. How delightfully Repukelican
Another great idea from the party that gave us "No Child Left Behind" and the "Clear Skies Initiative."

Let's call this one "Raises For The Homeland."

5. Myself, I'm tired of bailing out a 19yr old child.
"the government" is that hard-headed 19yr old that won't listen and costs me way too much money, I'm going to kick him out of the house.

Kay Bailey, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
