Dalai Lama throws snow at the press

The Dalai Lama playfully threw snow at the press gathered in front of the White House. The exiled spiritual leader of Tibet then admonished the media not to "ask silly questions" at a press conference later in the day. (Feb. 18) (The Associated Press)

5. So I jump ship in Hong Kong

and make my way over to Tibet...

...and I get on as a looper at a course
in the Himalayas.


A looper?

So I tell them I'm a pro jock
and who do you think they give me?



The Dalai Lama, himself.



The th son of the Lama.



With flowing robes, grace, bald, striking.



I'm on the first tee with him.
I give him the driver.



He hauls off and whacks one.
Big hitter, the Lama. Long!



Into a 1000 foot crevice
right at the base of this glacier!



Do you know what the Lama says?



"Gunga galunga. Gunga gunga da gunga."



So we finish and he's going to stiff me.



And I say, "Hey, Lama!



"How about a little something,
you know, for the effort?"



And he says, "There won't be any money...



"...but when you die, on your deathbed...



"...you will receive total consciousness."



So I've got that going for me...
which is nice.
