Has it crossed anyone else's mind that Bayh may be considering running for either President or
Vice President on a "bipartisan moderate" ticket?

I could see this namby-pamby feather-in-the wind nodding and grinning---a la Lieberman---beside, say, Judd Gregg or even Pawlenty.

Is my tinfoil hat too tight?

And your idea must really scare the DLC folks as a way they may
get exposed for what they are; someone has "unrecced" your
thread quite deep. I did what I could, but you're still in the
negative.

12. Thanks. There was a thread here yesterday about how to manipulate a message board.
You have to wonder about some of these anonymous unrecs. I wonder if we'll see a reply that hi-jacks the thread to a diversionary subject?

15. I've spoken about some of that.
A very popular topic, used to great effect on some notable topics here,
is to come in and inflame a bonfire. The thread then gets locked as a
flamefest or has huge sections of it deleted.

And as you suggest, dIversion into a pissing contest between two (or so)
posters is also a very common technique.

But he may go in another direction.

26. Pawlenty is very far to the right, there is nothing "moderate" about him
Just take a look at the budget he released today along with his unallotment scheme from last session and you will see how much of an extremist he is. After the way he has ignored the entire legislative branch of government he could never possibly claim to be bipartisan, he is by far the most partisan governor our state has ever had.

As far as Bayh goes, it would not surprise me if he did run just to lend a helping hand to the Republicans because I honestly think he wants a Republican in office.

29. Actually, that was my point. Bayh, a conservative Democrat, ("moderate" my ass!)
running with a right-leaning Republican. Together, they would claim to be "moderate"---Democrat + Republican = moderate and bipartisan.

I'm not saying it makes sense to anyone whose IQ is above room temperature, but if the corporations will fund enough TV commercials, "Bush's Law" will take effect: "If ANYTHING is repeated often enough and loudly enough on TV, it becomes true". (SEE: weapons of mass destruction, Iraq responsible for 9-11, Bush can find ass unassisted)

While waiting for a doctors appointment, never listen to them otherwise.

He's a whining turncoat. He said he was disappointed in the Democratic Party for not doing more
on jobs. Hell, he and his bipartisan kind created this mess. His father was a real liberal. This
guy is a twit.

32. My guess is it's either health or a scandal
He's a career politician, he's got plenty of money and wasn't going to lose to Dan Coats and his 97 year old combover. With the timing and the 13 mil he has in the bank, there is something afoot and a Presidential run isn't it.
