The New Deal, both directly and indirectly, led us out of the worst economic crisis in our history (so far).

But the corporate powers that be, and their media and political stooges in both parties, have convinced many Americans that he successful New Deal policies of economic populism don't work.

I laugh at those who claim that there is a "free market" that solves everything. There is no such thing. The freedom of the market is an illusion, because corporations can use it to enslave the world.

1. To me, the thing is that it ISN'T a "DREAM" - the best countries in the world do it.
Compare that to the right wing fantasy. What countries would they have us be more like?

3. Our "stimulus" should have been it. Lots of new jobs in infrastructure and developing/building a
green economy.
