1. That first ad, with the guy spanking his wife, it still works. Just for different publications.

Edit- you have to be careful looking at some of these older ads. Every so often people post ads that have been photoshopped.

I am pretty sure one or more of the ads you posted showing babies was debunked as being photoshopped.

3. Our next-door neighbors when I was about five, was a couple where the husband
