since KO announced the link last night on Countdown, this is the amount that has been raised. tremendous outpouring of support.

2. whenever I feel despair about the state of this country, I think about the people's (NOT the govt)
response to katrina, haiti, the free clinics, and now this. gives me hope.

7. Keith is a good person who has his heart in the right place.
I wanted to donate, but didn't know how to until he posted the contact info on his web site.

What I want to know is this: where's the govt in all of this? Has it been declared a fed. emergency yet? Where's FEMA? Where's Homeland Security? Where's the National Guard?
