Doug Wilder needs to shut his piehole
Wilder is a bitter old man who has a sackful of axes to grind with every other prominent Virginia Democrat.

He can badmouth Tim Kaine, but let's remember a few facts.

It was Doug Wilder who angled for the vice presidential slot on Ross Perot's ticket and refused to endorse Bill Clinton.

It was Doug Wilder who bolted the Democratic Party to run for the US Senate as an independent.

It was Doug Wilder who refused to endorse the Democratic nominees for governor of Virginia in 1997 and 2009.

Here's my advice for Doug Wilder...

1. He is absolutely right about Kaine
who is absolutely the wrong man for the job. Dr. Dean was absolutely the right man for the job. The party needs to dump Kaine and beg him to come back, if only as a consultant for the guy who pledges to continue all his policies if he won't take the job again.

Dr. Dean's policies worked. Kaine's haven't.

8. Wilder is correct
Kaine will lose many more seats for the Democrats if he stays. It's hard to support the DNC with the DLC running it.

11. Yet another dissenting view here, Sox Fan
We do not need any more "faux dems". Our party is already lousy with people who refuse to stand up for civil rights.
Bring back Dean!!!!!!!!!!!

13. Governor Kaine has been such a resounding success
at sucking up to the President and his team, at running the DNC, not so much.

From the dismantling of the 50 state program to the failure that is OFA, the only thing that they have going for them is a fund raising edge right now. I expect that to dry up quickly as the GOP becomes politically viable.

The wonderful thing about the non-base money Rahm and Kaine covet so much, is it isn't based on whether or not it agrees with you, it is based on who is in charge, so you agree with it.
