Republicans destroy in order to install themselves as controllers.

"Disaster Capitalism" extends to political and social power grabs. Anything that they can break, they can then offer themselves as the cure. They most definitely took advantage of 9/11 and power-grabbed with the highly suspiciously speedily available massive "Patriot Act". Look to "Fahrenheit 9/11" for info on the financial opportunism that occurred. Shameful, hideous.

Like Enron smashing California into a run-off election installing a dangerous Republican. And Bush's surprises for Carter via their OPEC friends...Halliburton being used to both destroy and repair the same regions (and of course, take the money and never finish the jobs), abusing FEMA into a laughing stock prolly in hopes to install Halliburton and related Republican-owned companies into the US infrastructure...and today's economy, a direct result of Reagan's "pay later" spending and BushCo/OPEC/Wall Street domination/abuse.

Scream loudly at any who look to the Republicans to "fix" that which they have intentionally caused. Obama has saved us from their direct power grab via an economic depression/possible collapse. The rich aren't affected so much by that which would send the Everyman into chaos, ripe to choose whatever Reagan-esque scenario is proffered.

Edit: And don't get me started on the concept of the Hydraulic Empire...that those who re-district and control water and electricity, control more than politicians ever will. Enron were looking into such things...

2. He who can destroy a thing, controls a thing.
The Republicans understand that very well.

And, unfortunately, that's pretty much all they understand - even when they do finally get the control, all they know is how to continue destroying.

3. They will eventually eat their own; let's hope it has already begun.
One of my teachers states that in this battle between those who want to control the world and those who just want to live in it, that the bad guys will eventually have to become so negative that fewer and fewer folks will follow them. I can already see this happening to an extent.

4. Isn't that the foundation of Naomi Klein's "Shock Doctrine"?

5. Yes!
I hope that everyone reads this book..

Sadly, it is also the foundation of other books Republicans have read such as "The Prince", etc.
