For people following the Palin conspiracies, The Immoral Minority
Edited on Tue Feb-09-10 01:42 AM by Blue_In_AK
has an outstanding post re the nexus between Murdoch/Fox News/Palin. It's pretty interesting. Obviously, he's been doing his homework.

http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/

Another Palin rumor proves accurate. Fox to build studio on her Wasilla compound.

<snip>

See if this makes sense to you.

Fox News creates "Obama is a socialist" meme
Fox News uses Glenn Beck to create "grass roots" Teabagger movement.
Sarah Palin positions herself as queen of Teabagger movement.
Fox News hires Palin as "commentator".
Supreme Court makes decision allowing corporations (like News Corp) to give unlimited amounts to pay for political advertising.
Fox News builds studio on Palin's Wasilla compound.
Fox forces the GOP to absorb the Teabagger movement, by making them move way to the right. (This is already happening.)
GOP/Teabaggers nominate Palin.
Thanks to Supreme Court decision News Corp buys tons of advertising space on Fox News and other media outlets attacking Obama administration and pimping Palin.
If Palin wins, Rupert Murdoch has his very own puppet dictator. If, and when, Palin loses, Fox News reports that the elitists stole the election and portrays Palin as a victim (her favorite role) of election fraud which will expand her influence and increase their ratings.
If they fail to capture White House in 2012 they are guaranteed to put a Fox News created candidate in office by 2016.

Sound crazy? Well considering some the of the things we have seen on Fox News, at the teabagger convention, and heard from Sarah Palin herself, does it really seem that crazy by comparison?

<snip>

Worth reading the whole thing and checking out the photo of the studio being built.

2. Ehh, it's hopefully not going to work. Here's a different take...

"The good news is that some in the media are starting to emerge from their comas."

3. The only problem with that scheme is the human element.
Palin cannot handle the stress, I bet that big hair was a wig she was wearing because there is no guarantee when she is in public that others won't be able to notice her bald spots. When she is on FOX, as the commentator, they get to frame her in the camera in the best light. Her hair is shorter and thinner in those TV appearances than it was during her big hair tea party podium routine.

Palin is also a narcissist. She cannot be told what to do or how to do anything. She cannot be trained or taught. McCain's folks found that out. Just imagine how bad she will be by 2011, how big her head, how convinced she will be that it is her calling to be the leader and no one can get in her way.

And then of course we know she had an affair on the Dude and that they are not living together. One or both will falter, the human element will intervene.

She won't be able to last, she will crash and burn.

4. This is very pessimistic
(and I compliment you on that), but I am inclined to think that you've underestimated the debaclitude of it.

But I know that only makes us all happier to see papier mache figureheads melted by simple water.

6. Unlike Dubya, she alienates folks who get close to her or that
she has stepped over to get to where she wants to be.

She isn't nice and she burns bridges.

It's like a race horse that peaks too early in the race, she may look good, she just don't have what it takes to finish.

8. She has already proven that she is a quitter. What makes anyone
think that she has the staying power to handle any job that requires more staying power than is needed to be the mayor of a small town in Alaska? She does not have what it takes to do anything more complicated than that. She may think she is a pit bull in lipstick but I think she has an inflated view of herself, her intelligence and her abilities. She is NOT ALL THAT. Just my humble opinion.

10. That's a great analogy.
And you are correct, of course, that it's all about her, which means she is unable to build any kind of coalition.

She's just not wired that way. :)

She isn't wired that way.

Did you see this article in the USA Today?

Poll: Tea Party candidates come in last

This was after all that coverage of their "convention" and Palin's palm reading act.

:hi:  :loveya:
