Bloomberg flip flopped on trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in New York City (Salon)

Today Salon.com's Joe Conason unearths a quote from New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, from "last December":

BLOOMBERG (2009): "It is fitting that 9/11 suspects face justice near the World Trade Center site where so many New Yorkers were murdered."

That's a brilliant catch by Conason, although the Bloomberg said this earlier than December. I found the quote in a USA Today article dated November, 2009, but that's a minor point:
