I'm sure tasering is fine, though, since they're almost certain to "resist arrest"(and while they're lying on the ground unconscious in a puddle of corporate urine, you can slip dope into their deep pockets).

It would definitely be an interesting topic to hear about from a legal expert. My feeling is that the only citizen winding up under arrest would be the would-be citizen arrester.
