More people show up at DU on a Sunday morning. Who is pushing her ignorant ass on the public, and why after this weekend, should we even pay any attention to her or the Tea Party (HAHAHAHA) movement? Seems like a pretty constipated movement to me. If the Pukes were too poor to show up at the event, what does that tell us about them? They are no better than us, just dumber......

Just wondering. Talk amongst yourselves........

4. The tea party "movement" is certainly having two effects . . .
and may have a third.

1) It splits the right-of-center vote into crazies and regular people, making it more likely that left-of-center candidates and ideas will win via plurality.

2) It induces fear in otherwise sensible right-of-centerers, herding them to the hard right, making them even less palatable to everyone else.

-- which would be OK. But also . . .

3) It is creating an increasingly bitter and self-disenfranchised core of "activists" who have limited affinity for legitimate government and who can be easily swayed by demogogues. And they may become very dangerous. Remember, Hitler came to power without the support of the majority of Germans. But that majority shouted "heil" along with the true believers when it became unsafe to do anything else.
