Linus Torvalds: Google's Nexus One First Mobile Phone I Don't Hate
But I have to admit, the Nexus One is a winner.

Now that's an endorsement! And an unsolicited one at that.

Can't get a better endorsement than that!

2. Grabbed my eye as well. I'm not getting one, but I've never seen him endorse anything
well except Linux.

3. I'd get one . . .
. . . if it synced with Outlook. So far it doesn't.
When it does, I'm dumping winmo forever.

4. No keyboard = no thanks
Sick of this touchscreen hype. Won't be getting another phone without a physical keyboard.

5. That's some "endorsement"...
I admire Mr. Torvalds, but he hates the concept of mobile phones (in general) and would only buy a phone with an open-source operating system... preferably based on his own Linux.

So, how credible is his advice for the general population who believe in mobile phones and want a user-friendly interface? Most people don't give a tinker's damn about an open-source operating system on their phone.
