How do I get out of this DU Panic Room deal?

Every time DU has a case of hiccups, my inbox is swamped with all of these frantic postings.

I have no idea how I got on the list, but I want out.

Now.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

1. go into your options for the group and turn off emails

to opt out of the emails, just read messages on the site. Is there an 'options' anywhere?

8. yes -- you need to go to the main page of the group

on yahoo. You can set it for web-only.

5. Yahoo Groups

Go to "Edit My Settings" and either turn off delivery or Leave Group. I've been running Yahoo Groups for years. It's really easy.

6. Hummm if you need a "panic room" for a web site... well your right.. get out now..

Go to Yahoo groups and un-subscribe your membership to the group... Can't tell you exactly how to do that since I've never "panicked" the few times DU has been off-line.

LSK got it right ... sign into Yahoo! - select "Groups" - select the DU Panic Room - and then select the option for the way in which you want the messages. "No email" is one of the options.

Try using this link - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DUPanicRoom/join
It should take you there directly and allow you to make the change.


Alternatively, the owner or someone granted moderator powers can do it for you.
You can email the owner at [e-mail]

If you just want to unsubscribe altogether, you can send an email to [e-mail]
using your membership email address as the 'from'.

9. As owner/moderator of the room, I will happily set your options for you...

if you can not figure it out on your own.
PM me with your Panic Room user ID, email etc..
There is a way to set yourself for "no Email" or "daily digest"
which is a compilation of recent posts which you can either read
or delete.

13. I confess I panicked the other night! It was right after Moyers

wonderful documentary and I started getting 'tinfoilish' (if there is such a word, or maybe in retrospect, tinfoolish?)

The Panic Room was just that! It was frustrating to use that unfamiliar format, but much needed at the time.

I must have missed some good tidbits. It's not called the panic room for nothing, but I find that to be one of its charms.
