A nice discussion with the DSCC
I finally picked up the phone after days of getting calls with no messages from "private".

A nice lady from Massachusetts.

No, there's no money and here's why. The Democrats in Congress and the Senate need to straighten up and fly right. I am tired of the Republican agenda being rammed down our throats. And this business of losing the Senate seat in Massachusetts won't do either. So I get the story. It wasn't voter anger, it was a lousy campaign and complacency. Pardon me, but the Democratic Party and the candidate were complacent with the razor thin lead we had? We have had a whole year to watch this show and they were complacent about keeping the seat?

It's the sheer incompetence of this that scares me. This Country (and the World) has been seriously damaged by Bush and his gang. We will probably need 20 years to recover from this. Yes, that's hard work. It means that most of us will have to give a bit more than we take for a change. The repubs want back in so they can finish the job that Bush started. The Teabaggers are helping all they can. It's like giving Germany back to Himmler in 1946. Luckily, we weren't that stupid then. But this is now.

So maybe it's time for the Democrats to get off their complacent asses.

That way people like me won't be thinking we're better off saving our money to move to a different country in 2013 instead of wasting it on Democratic candidates.

I don't envy the people who do the work of calling people like me only to have to listen to this shit day in, day out. So maybe those on whose behalf they are calling had better get with the program.

1. Well said. I told them essentially the same thing when they called me
Don't know if the word is getting up the chain though.
