Speaking of food additives, look what I just found:
I have allergies to certain foods that I avoid but it seems to be quite common to provide us with other names for the same thing. Take a quick look at this list. I Googled "Other names for MSG" and there were many hits. Going back for a second look.

1. Not surprising.
Glutamic acid is a naturally-occurring amino acid, found in many food items. That fact is why it has been used as a seasoning for a long, long time. It enhances many flavors.

That glutamates, which are simply salts of glutamic acid, occur in the items in your list is because glutamic acid occurs in those natural foods.

That is it used as a flavor enhancer in the food industry is not surprising, either. That's not necessarily a good thing, but you must realize that it is not, in itself, an artificial thing. It occurs naturally in many foods we eat on a regular basis. Your list reflects that fact.

It is wise to do further research before posting. Seriously.

2. My intent was find other wording that would help me and perhaps
others to recognize other names for the same product. It may be natural but if the wording is not as you expect, you can but the product unknowingly.

My apologies if you feel I did not do enough research. Next time I will document any other info I find in greater detail on any product. Meanwhile, I must still try to avoid MSG.

3. As with all food issues, the best answer is to buy raw foods, then
prepare them yourself. That's really the only way to know what, exactly, you are eating. Packaged, prepared foods almost all contain substances you'd probably not want to ingest. If you have ingredient-specific issues, then it's almost the only way to go.
