According to this CNN Money article Tebows ad from Focus on the Family is costing on average of $3 million dollars!

Focus on the Family buys Super Bowl ad
By Aaron Smith, staff writer
January 19, 2010

http://money.cnn.com/2010/01/19/news/companies/focus_on_family_super_bowl/index.htm?postversion=2010011914

........CBS, broadcaster of the 2010 Super Bowl game, is charging about $3 million for 30-second spots, according to spokesman Dana McClintock. But CBS would not reveal how much it charged Focus on the Family for their ad.

......

Just think what good that could have done for the homeless in our country and in Haiti!

Shame on them!

4. As could the money spent by the fans going to the game, Fuel,
air fare, tickets, food, lodging, adult beverages, etc.

For those not attending - sports bars with big screens, food, beverages, tips for the servers, etc.

Don't forget the other advertisers - are they guilty also?

5. The point is that....
this group claims to care so much about human life, but doesn't want to lift a finger actually helping people. In fact they advocate a position that will create droves of needy children and families if enacted.

It's the hypocrisy.

15. Because They Believe That Christian Rights Trump Womens Rights or Gay Rights
They don't care how many women's lives are jeopardized or how long gay people are oppressed, as long as those poor christians have their first amendment right to spew hate.

17. I guess we should enjoy our pseudo-freedom while we can,
SCOTUS paved the way for FOTF to purchase as many politicians as they need to further their agenda.

This is only the beginning.

7. Tim Tebow... didn't he fall flat on his face in the Senior Bowl in front of all the NFL scouts?
http://cfn.scout.com/2/942479.html

<snip>
1. The Tim Tebow Circus

It was the one and only thing anyone cared about from the start of the week: Can Tim Tebow actually play at the next level? The answer after Senior Bowl week was a loud and clear “not right now.”

He had strep throat, had to be hospitalized, and had to deal with a media crush and attention that he should be used to by now, but became a problem because of what he was up against in a fight to show he can be a pro quarterback. This wasn’t Tebow being in control of his old Florida team or his situation; this was Tebow trying to go on a job interview and floundering badly.

It’s not like he didn’t have his moments during the week. He showed nice zip on most of his passes on the second day and in the shotgun he showed the potential to be a real, live starting NFL quarterback, but he struggled badly when under center, showed he has a long way to go on his timing in a three-step drop, and proved has even further to go to fix his elongated, loping throwing motion that takes ten days to get the ball out of his hands. His biggest problem is that the strengths that made him a great college player don’t translate to the NFL, and the reputable scouts were almost unanimous on this.
<snip>

Good job Tim!

8. That's the big joke about all these "evangelists" and "Christian" organizations.
The big shots all have to live in mansions, drive Mercedes Benzes, vacation in exotic areas, and basically live like Kings and Queens. Because God wants that for them. And God wants that for you, too...just send money--lots of it--as much as you can...give until it hurts.

Then you, too, will be well on your way to the riches God wants for everyone! :)

:sarcasm: for the challenged

9. Hush! We Can't Criticize Christians! They're Constantly Victimized!
You're absurdly certain, arrogant, and mean-spirited if you do. Especially if you're gay. Or so I've been told.
