The Bush Legacy, the Republican Legacy: Attempting to Address the Costs of these Wars.
If you have seen the budgets you are aware that the pricetag of these wars in Afghanistan and Iraq is allegedly something approaching $1 Trillion. I say "allegedly" because I know damned well it is far, far more than one trillion.

That does not even begin to account for the true costs. These wars are going to blugeion us for four decades to come in terms of how we can help our returning veterans, compensate them through lawsuits for the use of depleted uranium and all sorts of experimental vaccines that are going to destroy their lives, all of the limbs they have lost and had to have replaced, the medications that will be required to try to compensate them for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and all sorts of mental illness issues.

God Bless the Milken Insitute, who as early as 2004 or 2005 predicted that the Iraq war alone would cost the U.S. at least one trillion dollars.

This is the Bush Legacy. This is the Republican Legacy.
