Anti-choice terrorist issues threat against abortion providers
Shelley Shannon -- who shot and injured Dr. George Tiller back in 1993 -- has issued an email statement saying that abortion doctors would "continue to be stopped," despite Scott Roeder's conviction last week, the AP reports. (Shannon, who's serving time for a series of clinic arsons, sent her note via a prison email system to Dave Leach, an activist based in Iowa.) The FBI says the statement is too vague to require investigation.

Ironically, Shannon agrees with abortion-rights advocates on one point:

In her e-mail, Shannon said the judge had been influenced by media and abortion rights activists who said that if Roeder had been allowed to use that (voluntary manslaughter) defense more abortion doctors would be killed.

One other item of note from Roxana Hegeman's piece: The DOJ is working an "enterprise investigation" to see if there's a conspiracy to employ violence against abortion providers.

5. Actually it is...
I read it as a statement of belief more that a specific threat.

I also believe the same thing...that providers who enable a woman's right to choose are in physical danger from the antis.
