12yr old girl solution to tea baggers "guvment takeover"
My neighbor's daughter Jasmine has decided to take a petition to the tea baggers or rethugblicans, asking them to sign if they do not want any government in taking over their life to sign her petition. Once they sign she said she will had them a notice stating if currently receiving Social Security or Medicare they will no longer receive them and if not when eligible they cannot receive them since they have signed her petition they want no government involved in their lives.

She said she came up with this after watching Pay it Forward and watching her mother listen to Beck. I told her if she does to PLEASE PLEASE record and make sure she takes her 6'5" 254lb state trooper father with her.

Stay tuned.

2. She might want to add...
that if the signer's house catches fire, to forget about calling 911 (nasty, invasive gubmint!).

Oh, and if it's like my community, the signer can forget about grabbing a hose & turning on the spigot to put out the flames, since water is provided by the local gubmint.

Yep, that whole "no gubmint" schtick sounds just great... until you actually need the gubmint, which is pretty much every day.

5. Not just the fire department; don't call the police if you need help,
don't drive on our roads, or put your kids in our schools... yeah, the government is just sooo awful

7. and tell 'em to stay off our socialist road system
and stop buying stuff that's been transported on those evil gummint roads in gummint-inspected trucks manufactured in gummint regulated factories with gummint-regulated safety regulations.

and so on.

Basically, if anyone signs it, they should leave the fucking country.

13. Can't. The gummint issues documents to travel abroad.
Things like visas and the like. Other gummints like that stuff.

15. Pretty sure they wouldn't
seeing as how they don't think Medicare's a government program.

11.  Tea-baggers "know not what they do." Facing reality is not part of
their ability to throw logic away and follow their feelings of fear.

You have a great idea that just might make them fear the loss of their personal federal support more than the unrelatable foolishness of Fox News Fantasies.

12. Go, Jasmine! She could also tell them to move to Colorado Springs.
They are beginning an experiment there with cutting back government quite a bit.

I wish it was feasible to really experiment... divide the country in two, and let the libertarians rule one half, and socialist democrats rule the other half. Check on the differences in 20 years.

18. Sadly, it's not
Because there are some great lefties down south (especially most cities), and as Scott Brown showed, there are GOP assholes up north.

I WANT TO GIVE UP
MY SOCIALIZED GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE

Please take away my socialized, government-run health care benefits immediately. I have had enough of participating in socialist, government-run programs and want to discontinue coverage for myself and my family. Please remove me from these programs as quickly as you can. Thank you very much.

Sorry I don't seem to be able to actually copy the original back to DU, and I didn't save the link. But I liked how official it looked, all red-white-and-blue. The civic ignorance in this country has reached mind-boggling lows.

22. I commend you for suggesting her state trooper father go with her ...
against a 12-year-old girl, they might feel like they could take her ... if they got enough people together.

They might have felt it would be a fair fight if she was a wheelchair-bound quadriplegic ...
