Sarah Palin versus Rush Limbaugh!
Hardly a 'rip'; they were shamed into this imo.

Palin Camp Rips Limbaugh, Hits His “Retard” Comment As “Crude And Demeaning”

Sarah Palin versus Rush Limbaugh!

Palin believes Limbaugh’s repeated use of the word “retard” yesterday was “crude and demeaning,” her spokesperson emails.

In the wake of Palin’s demand that Rahm Emanuel be fired for saying the liberal activist strategy on health care was “f–king retarded,” a bunch of people have been asking how she’d react to Limbaugh’s tirade on the air yesterday.

“Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards,” Rush said, adding that Rahm’s meeting yesterday with advocates for the mentally handicapped was a “retard summit at the White House.”

I asked Palin spokesperson Meghan Stapleton for comment on Rush’s rant, and she emailed me this:

“Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.”

It hardly has the passion of her response to Rahm, and there’s no call for him to step down. But given Rush’s stature among conservatives, it’s pretty interesting that she went this far, denouncing his on-air rant as “crude and demeaning name-calling.”

13. Classy
Assholes, the both of them. Then again, the main reason the right-wing men like Sarah is because they like good looking airheads.

7. Oh, Great! Palin and Limbaugh fighting. If we think using the word 'retard' warrants an apology
we must want Palin for president. If we think it's no big deal, we're ditto heads. A big problem with kill the messenger philosophies.

8. If Failin expects an apology from OxyRush she can forget about it.

The closest PimpleButt ever gets to apologizing is to say he was misunderstood.

He's too vain and egocentric to ever extend an apology no matter how wrong he may be.

12. When Rush did it repeatedly and with intent to insult, it's "disrespectful"
Edited on Thu Feb-04-10 07:24 PM by Canuckistanian
But when Rahm did it ONCE, he had to resign. IMMEDIATELY.

No double standard there, no siree.

14. I kid you not. Today at work I had Limbaugh on and this
guy calls up ranting and raving about Rahm's statement. Calling for Rahm to be fired and how he was so hurt by anybody using that term because he has a special needs child. He kept praising Limbaugh for his support and saying how Limbaugh would never do anything like that.

Not once did Limbaugh back the guy up and say you're thanking the wrong guy. I couldn't believe it. Limbaugh accepted his praise and kept railling himself against Rahm like there was no tomorrow.

I sat there stunned at this. First that the caller would be so so fucking ignorant, and second that Limbaugh acted like he was as pure as the driven snow.

I'm utterly convinced that all the reasons they talk about, are nothing but bullshit hooks to hang their hateful hats on. They are blinded by hatred to the point where they praise one guy for doing the exact same thing that they rail against another guy for.

America is truly mentally ill. It really is astonishing. The same thing with Palin. How can they claim it's not hate when she rails against Rahm, but says nothing about Limbaugh?

And Limbaugh does it routinely, damn near everyday. Rahm said it once and the universe is about to explode. I've just about had enough of their shit.

They create their own reality. Make enough noise and the facts don't matter. What matters now is if you can convince people that enough people believe something. If you have enough believers, no matter how ridiculous the proposition, it becomes "true."

15. She's already backing off that earlier statement...or at least her
spokesperson is:

http://www.alan.com/2010/02/04/palin-camp-firing-back-at-wapo-for-suggesting-conflict-with-limbaugh/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+liberaland+%28Alan+Colmes+Liberaland%29&utm_content=Twitter

"Sarah Palin spokesperson Meg Stapleton told Fox, “The Washington Post is trying hard to take the pressure off the White House by creating a side controversy, but it is missing the point: as the Governor has said, it doesn’t matter who says the “r” word: it should no longer be part of our lexicon.”

Limbaugh used the “r” word repeatedly during his daily radio show yesterday. When the Palin camp was asked for comment on Limbaugh’s actions by the Washington Post, they said,“Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.”

Palin officials say that is the same comment they have given reporters for a host of other instances where someone had used the “r” word and they are not singling out Limbaugh."

Notice that this is all being done through her "spokesperson" so that she deny all claim. Someone now needs to ask why Rahm deserves to be fired for saying the "r" word, but Rush's rant doesn't really matter.

she doesn't take him that seriously, like half the people here do.
