A creature of the Senate...
Senators are a strange lot. They think of themselves as some House of Lords. They believe in long-winded debates and compromise. They are gentlemen.

There is a reason so few Senators get elected to the White House. They have a record. Fortunately for Barack Obama, there was not much of a Senate record when he ran for the Presidency. But he knows how it works.

And now, the Democrats are about to lose their 60-vote majority. Will we really notice any difference?
Scott Brown is being rushed to Washington a week early so he can help the Republicans block more Obama appointees. The Union is saved!

1. They're very wealthy and pretty old. We truly should call it the House of Lords. nt
