3. These aren't new job losses, they are a revision of the numbers from April 2008-March 2009.

4. how do people already out work make for an effective "General Strike"?
:shrug:
isn't a strike supposed to be about people walking off their jobs?

i don't know how people would go about 'walking off' unemployment- but i doubt that it would bother anyone in government if they did.

5. General Strike means employed and unemployed in solidarity
Also workers from different trade associations/unions walking out in support of each other

2. Ah, I see. From the way they worded it, I thought they meant we lost 824,000 jobs right now
But I see it is a revision of the April 08 to March 09 numbers.
