extreme liberalism
Could someone give me examples of extreme liberalism as it applies to current politics? I think I understand Extreme Right Wing Conservatism, but not extreme liberalism. I'm not trying to be dumb here, but honestly I am just not understanding what the Liberals do that makes those who do not want to be liberal, liberal.

1. The media portrays anything extremely right wing as having a left wing counter
whether or not there actually is one.

5. Ding, ding, ding
We have a winner. (And welcome to DU.)

Everything with them is "both sides do it." They have to claim that there's an extreme left wing in order to hide the fact that they're biased toward the right.

2. I don't think there is an extreme left in this country any more.
It's just a right wing figure for their fearmongering.

3. Rightward-leaning moderate is strategically tagged "far left" to condition the public mind

4. And, as the extreme left is NOT 'liberal', that wouldn't apply in any case.
You want 'extreme liberal', look at the Constitution.

6. Yes and no. It could be argued that the document was written
by the wealthy for the wealthy to benefit their class, much as bailing out Wall Street is not socialism but universal health care is the apocalypse. :)
