Obama rebounds by fighting back. Gallup--up 9
Edited on Tue Feb-02-10 08:43 PM by louis c
Barack Obama has crystallized the debate for his supporters and now is playing offense.

By taking on the Republicans directly, the facts are now coming out. What jobs has the President saved? The Republicans say not one. How about 2 to 3 million just in the auto industry alone. Remember when Senators Corker, Bunning and Chambliss wanted the whole US car industry to go bankrupt. President Obama bailed them out and now their profitable and paying us back.

The "stimulus" bill did work. Aren't police officers, firefighters and teachers jobs worth saving? Tax cuts for the middle class. OMB estimates somewhere between 600,000 and 1.2 million jobs were saved and created.

And calling out the hypocrisy of the Republicans. There was Mike Pence with a $685 million overblown check in a photo op for highway construction in his district. I wonder if he thanked the President for providing the money in the stimulus bill and reminding the audience that he (Pence) voted against it?

The Republicans have a "health care plan". Why didn't they put it up during the 6 years that they controlled the Senate, the House and the Presidency?

Oh, the political ammunition the President's supporters have when he goes on the offensive.

2. It's about time he fought back.
Playing nicey-nicey doesn't work with idiot repugs. When he hits them back, they pout. It really makes them look bad. And him look good.

4. How long have progressives here been saying he should do this?
Now, he needs to move his policies to the left and finish the deal. People will respond once our leadership leads.
