3. Outstanding and long overdue
Aside from the obvious point, i.e., that people shouldn't have to conceal and lie about who they are, from a security perspective it makes good sense to ensure that service members don't have to lie in order to serve.

6. 'bout damn time!
People are so stupid. They think gays aren't serving in the military now?? Wtf difference would it make to others? They have and will serve with gays. Gays have served with honor and distinction and have contributed much to this Country and it's security. How can they expect to trust a soldier who is forced to LIE every day of his life, btw?
