Veteran teacher placed on leave

By Elaine Allegrini, Enterprise staff writer

BROCKTON — A veteran teacher at St. Casimir's School was placed on administrative leave this week while officials investigate allegations of inappropriate conduct.

“The decision to place Mr. Labouliere on administrative leave does not represent a determination of guilt or judgment as to the veracity of the complaint,” the Rev. Richard Clancy, parish administrator, wrote in the letter. “The safety of your children is of paramount importance to all of us at Saint Casimir Parish and School.”

Labouliere, of Brockton, teaches grade 7 at the small Catholic school that is set to close this year in a reorganization of the city's parochial schools.

He is a long-time teacher and the husband of Pauline Labouliere, principal of St. Edward's School on the city's North Side.
