Next: Obama should hold a similar meeting with Senate Dems and Blue Dogs
By similar, I mean of course similar to the meeting he just held with the House GOP.

It's easy for a Democratic President to talk tough to the opposition party. It's harder when your own party is sabotaging success.

Obama NEEDS-for the sake of the American people-to draw a line in the sand.

1. Absolutely. I think that's the plan.
Or it will be. I'm sure the GOP will demand it. And I don't doubt he'd be just as effective, though it won't be as entertaining because sans some of the blue dogs, we have MUCH smarter people in our party.

When he has the opportunity to push through and expose sh.., he does it so well. And, God knows there's plenty of that there too.

Because what he said today applies to every politician who boxes themselves into such a corner that they can't get anything done.

We've seen this on the part of both the Blue Dogs and the Progressive Caucus in the House with respect to HCR, each side vowing to bring it down unless they get 100% of what they want until ... they just about have.
