3. aaaw.. poor widdle debt industry..cry a few tears for them
Interest on savings is negligible, yet banks get to charge 25% and UP for the use of their cards?

Of course the people who use them shjould know better than to get into too much debt, but shit happens in an economy like ours, and before long, too many people are paying MORE in interest and fees than what they actually charged in the first place..

We need a big-ole audit..nationwide... of all credit card issuers and the accounts they "manage".. and in most cases there needs to be a "settling up"..and closing of millions of accounts.....as paid in full

4. I note the guy in the story is using an auto-dialer.
Nothing like companies auto-dialing you and expecting that when you pick up the phone and hear a non-person on the other end asking you to wait patiently for a real person to come on the line and start harassing you about your debts (or trying to sell you something, for that matter), you will actually stay on instead of hanging up the phone and rolling your eyes.
