I like him!
Say what you will but he's trying like hell and getting things done.

I trust him. More now than ever. And, he does give me hope. Go figure. I was a Hillary supporter. (After Kucinich.)

I'm one of the people who benefited from his unemployment and Cobra stimulation packages and extensions. I have to give this man props. But for him, I'd be homeless or living in my parents' basement.

And, I have hope for the future. I do believe that I will be employed again soon, and gainfully so. If not by someone else, then by my own bootstraps. I'll start my own business with a small business loan.

I'm not saying he's perfect, but compared to the alternative, he's damn close.

It needed to be said. I haven't forgotten the sting of the Bush years.

1. Like in Man of La Mancha????? LOL

SANCHO
I like him, I really like him.
Tear out my fingernails one by one, I like him!
I don't have a very good reason,
Since I've been with him,
Cuckoo-nuts have been in season...
But there's nothing I can do,
Chop me up for onion stew,
Still I'll yell to the sky
Though I can't tell you why,
That I like him!

ALDONZA
It doesn't make any sense!

SANCHO
That's because you're not a squire.

ALDONZA
All right, I'm not a squire. ]
Now does a squire squire?

SANCHO
Well, I ride behind him... and he fights.
Then I pick him up off the ground, and...

ALDONZA
But, what do you get out of it?

SANCHO
What do I get? Oh! Why, already I've gotten...
I've gotten...

ALDONZA
You've got nothing! Why do you do it?

SANCHO
I like him, I really like him.
Pluck me naked as a scalded chicken,
I like him!
Don't ask me for why or wherefore,
'Cause I don't have a single good
"Because" or "therefore!"
You can barbecue my nose.
Make a giblet of my toes,
Make me freeze, make me fry.
Make me sigh, make me cry.
Still I'll yell to the sky,
Though I can't tell you why.
That I like him!

2. Not like Man of La Mancha...
... because I DID tell you why.

So, I'll assume that was your unrec?...

That's ok. I'm not looking for cheerleaders. Just sharing my story. Your mileage may vary.

7. Probably a silently lurking FReep in this case.
Don't get me wrong, I love the unrec feature, but it isn't perfect.

I like our president more after this speech, too.

10. I like him too! And I respect him and believe in him. . .if he doesn't succeed. . .
It's NOT for not trying!

He needs ALL our support, and a much more "in your face" support than he has had over the last year!

We are guilty of letting the teabagger, the republicans, the extreme right, and the Christian conservative hijack the media and influence public opinion.

What is our excuse?

12. I've always been a little lukewarm...
...since Obama was never my first choice...

That's why I felt the need to come forward tonight and admit that I am one of the people who is surviving this terrible economic nightmare as a direct result of Obama's stimulus help.

Unless a person has felt the relief first hand, they must assume that it doesn't exist.

I'm stepping forward tonight to clarify the point that our President's efforts are helping. Without his stimulus package, I would have been without a roof over my head at least 6 months ago.

18. Agree. I hope he comes through with DADT...
... and other campaign promises made to the GLBT community. It seemed to me that he finally realizes there are a whole lot of pissed off democrats and that he can't succeed without the support of the people that put him in office.

20. I feel the same way
He HAS effected REAL improvements....in spite of the fact that change happens excruciatingly slowly in the real world.

And those improvements have been accomplished in spite of incredible conservative/corporate hijacking of all social institutions (gov't, finance, courts, religion, media).
