Pentecostal Preacher accused of stabbing wife locked up on $1 million bond
WEST MEMPHIS - A Forrest City preacher appeared before a West Memphis judge on Wednesday, accused of stabbing his estranged wife.

The 66-year-old was charged with attempt to commit first degree murder and domestic battery.

According to police - Holloway was angry his wife, Linda Driver Holloway, had left him. So he followed her to a West Memphis doctor's office on Monday and allegedly used a pocket knife to stab her multiple times. Police say it all happened in the waiting room in front of other patients.

During Wednesday's hearing, prosecutors told the judge he stabbed his wife around the face and neck at least 15 times. She remains at the MED in critical condition. Family members say she's doing somewhat better, but not out of the woods.

The 66-year-old preacher shook his head as prosecutors also accused him of making threats. They say he made statements since he posted his original bond of $50,000, that he was going to the hospital to "finish the job."

The judge set bond at $1 million. The victim's family left the courthouse, shaking hands and hugging.

Holloway is the pastor at the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in Forrest City. His next court date is May 21st.
