4. SAW IT ON TV! Pretty good - although it still didn't explain WHY
Why did CBS chose to hide the "No Praque connection" scoop in a softer story? Wht didn't journalists want to go 'out of a limb"? (Am I supposed to buy ANYTHING from Howie Kurtz now?) It still doesn't go far enough - it doesn't even say Judith Miller was a willing propagandist. How does Ruslut have the chutzpa he knew the TP from NYT when we knoe from the Libby trial he was by name one of the WH propaganda channels?

12. It would take a lot longer than 90 minutes to explain everything
that we would like to see covered. Now that he is getting a weekly show back on PBS he will go into even more detail on some of these subjects.

16. "The media is the propaganda arm of the RNC/Bush Administration"
Edited on Thu Apr-26-07 09:25 AM by The Count
It took me less than a second to type it.Why pretend that the non-Faux media is not?

13. I thought the "why" was implicit
they did it for money, power and access.

15. I don't buy it. And Moyers was supposed to be explicit, unlike the CBS guy.
The answer is shorter and simpler: for all intents and purposes, MSM is part of this administration, it's propaganda arm. There wasn't much of a choice there. I remember a Romanian paper during Ceausescu. On its mast - right after the name it said: "Organ of the Comunist Party of Romania"
it's time this relationship is disclosed here as well

5. It's time to start sending
out emails with the "watch the video" link. Now this documentary exposes the *bushie administration, the compliant-lazy media along with the superficial, thin-skinned Congress. We have no choice now but to build-up our momentum of outrage. This is our start.

Fucking COM-CASSED!!!! We've had nothing but problems with their shitty service.

Word of ADVICE, DO NOT get their VoIP phone service, it sucks. Big time. Has interfered with my peripherals from day one.

11. Don't Get PBS in Japan so I watched it online earlier
There was nothing in it that I was previously unaware of but it was a good reminder of things I had forgotten over the last several years.

Quite maddening, actually. I don't regret the choice to permanently repatriate to J-land.

It's no utopia, but we have excellent, cheap universal health care, safe streets and kind people, and there are none of those insane, spinning, jingoistic, Orwellian propaganda graphics on the news here.

You can't imagine how insanse that shit looks to people from other countries.

"America at War: Shock and Awe Day One"

:puke:

That kind of media is TOXIC.

I can't believe that there was once I time I felt homesick for the states. Now all I miss anymore is my family and some of the foods. :-(

Keep up the good fight, though. I'll keep voting absentee, FWIW...

18. I often wonder how we are truly viewed overseas. It must be like
watching a grade b movie, knowing all along what will happen and not being able to warn the characters about their fate.
Glad that the Internet and DU is available to you and a big hi from NY!!!!

in the US, it does have a different affect on you when you are on the outside looking in. You get a different perspective. I will keep on voting absentee also and giving monetary donations to those who need assistance.

17. Let me take this moment to say: Jonathan Landay and Warren Strobel are two bitchin' dudes!
Tonight's broadcast, "Buying the War" introduced you to intrepid Knight Ridder (now McClatchy) reporters Jonathan Landay and Warren Strobel, who between them have over 40 years experience reporting on foreign affairs and national security.

27. Weren't they outstanding? They kept saying "What the F is going on here?"
And kept digging, and couldn't believe the level of BS they were encountering at every turn that challenged what their sources were telling them. Brave gentlemen!

I didn't get a chance to watch it last night, and one of my professors mentioned it in class this morning - said he didn't get to see it either, so I've just sent him the link. It looks pretty good; I think I'm going to watch it for myself this afternoon. :) K&R.

29. It doesn't work for me. Firefox nor Internet Explorer.
I don't know what makes this special. I've watched everything under the sun. But of all the things I've watched, I want to watch this one the most. Great!

It plays audio but no video.

Any ideas?

a troubleshooting link at the site? I'll try it downstairs later on my PC which also has Firefox.

32. Hey, thanks.
I contacted them, but don't expect a reply.

It's some kind of video problem with embeded media. Probably some Active-X or Java thing. I don't know.

It's weird since I almost never have these problems any more.

The bottom line is, Linktv will more than likely be airing this shortly. I'll see it. :)
