Anyone catch the hatchet job that CNN is doing
on the Stimulus Program this week? Today they are making a big deal about the signs. Every damn public improvement program I have ever seen prior to the Stimulus always had a sign about your tax dollars at work. What it comes down to the Republicans don't want people to see any evidence of Stimulus money at work. Of course CNN plays right into their hands saying making signs doesn't make any jobs. They are too stupid to see someone had to make the materials, the aluminum, the paint and someone had to paint the damn things, so according them unless someone is actually hired full time it doesn't help anyone. Any project that they report actually made jobs they always claim it cost some ridiculous sum of money per job. The contractors in this area worked all summer on Stimulus Projects but CNN can't find those projects it seems.

3. Yeah, I've been watching it
The program has found some good stuff about the stimulus projects, but overall theme is that stimulus hasn't been successful. In many states, they have forbid local officials from saying that the projects are financed by federal stimulus funds, and have forbid the putting up of signs saying where the funds came from. I noticed in Louisiana, on some road projects, they originally put up signs saying something like "this project financed by federal stimulus funds," but have now taken down the signs.
