Where's the sunshine?
Has the Age of Aquarius already been ushered out? Did we not speak up enough? What more could we have done? Why can't those in power learn from the past? Why do they think so little of our kids? Didn't they learn the lesson well enough the last time?

3. Soooooooooo.....
Why can't those in power learn from the past? Because the Republicans in charge have wanted a chance to rewrite History...with their own religious and political bent...

In their minds the collective History of the world was as "Alberto Gonzalez" described the Geneva Convention as "quaint".

What is the saying "Those that ignore the lessons of History are bound to repeat it!

5. I was thinking about this
And I think that the current situation is the last gasp of the old order. Rich white guys had it pretty good for centuries. Within the last sixty years, that's started to change and the change keeps accelerating. The lords are fighting a desperate last ditch battle to keep the manor.

6. And the old order is using every criminal trick in the book to hang onto what they've got
with their dead claws. They so yearn for the sit-com 50s, without all those civil rights for blacks, and womens' lib and gay lib and whatnot. They're still waging war on the 60s. Damn, these suckers go down hard...

We don't have much time to get it right, I think.
