1. I think the comb over
aka trump, went on Faux and said she was. At least according to Countdown tonight.

I don't watch the view but I really like Rosie a lot.

2. Rosie is the real deal.
I just posted that I think she is one of the most fascinating Americans alive today. I'll always have her back here at the DU because she's willing to go it completely alone standing up to bullies and bullshit. I adore her.

5. Me too.
I am heartbroken she will not be on there any more. I never watched that show until she came on it. She is so awesome. I will never watch it again after her last day. It sucked before she came on it. It was just unbearable to watch. She just did not want to sign a 3 year contract. She only wanted one year at a time. They are making it sound like she was fired for being "controversial".

3. The View wanted her for 3 more years... She wanted a one year contract.
You had to listen pretty carefully today to glean that little nugget from the corpomedia coverage, didn't you?

4. She wasn't fired
It appears that neither side went out of their way to negotiate a new contract.

She may want to spend more time with her family.

7. I guess it's more of a story if the media lies & says she was "fired."
It's hardly being fired when you are willing to sign a contract for a year only and your employer is insisting on your contractual commitment for three years.

She clearly has other projects in the works. Good for her.

She has stated that she invested her money from "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" wisely and her "R Family Cruises" are going very well, and she never has to work another day if she doesn't want to. Why should she have to worry about what Barbara Walters thinks then.

9. They weren't going to take her down. Not if ABC was wanting 3 more years
and she only wanted to commit to 1 more year.

12. Tit for tat
she was at the top of the hit list, the RW was gonna take her down. Delay and others were going after her big time after what happened to Imus and seeing it was possible to take down those considered objectionable.
