If GOP was in the position the Dems are in now (MA) they
would return to DC tomorrow and the House would pass the Senate version of HCR and think nothing of it! But the Dems are too spineless to really win at the real political game. If theydid that, they could make changes they want later. The electorate would balk for a while but if some of the benefits of the reform were seen in the short term, they would calm down and the Tea-baggers and other anti Obama folks would be even more demoralized. As it is, though, it will be he Dems who will be demoralized tomorrow...simply because they refuse to fight the GOP on its own terms.

3. They are between a rock and a hard place. Somehow, in my gut
I feel they are going to be hurt much worse if they pass
the Senate Bill.

The GOP has already stated the HCR Bill will be front and
center from now until November if they pass it.

There are too many issues that have average Americans up in arms.
There are going to be court cases on the Mandate. How does
this help?? To the average Joe or Josephine--they will think,
WTH, why do they pass bills people want to take to court?

The Delay of Benefits but you must start paying taxes immediately.
When people buy something, they want their product pretty quickly.
This is human.

Taxes are poisonous in themselves, let alone paying in advance.

Insurance companies can still raise your premiums if you get
sick--especially Senior Citizens.

People who had Medicare Advantage are going to have to pay much
more because they now must buy a Med-Gap Policy.

Yes, they are between a rock and a hard place. The GOP are set
to exploit it. As they said. If Brown does not win but makes
a good showing this is going to be repeated in every race in
November and we will keep HCR front and center until November.

Just something to mull over.
