Wow- My Doctor Came Through
This is the fax I sent him.

Due to the poor economy I had to temporaily stop my helth insurance. My Azor 10/40 is $135.00 for a thirty day prescription. That is a lot of money when no money is coming in. If you have some samples to hold me over for awhile I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

The nurse called me and told me I can pick up a month's worth of samples.

The doctor is so cool.

2. $135.00 For A Thirty Day Supply Is Ridiculous
But it brought my blood pressure down from 160/100 to 120/80.

BTW, the doctor is also trying to start a free clinic.

8. Now that _is_ a great doc! Truth is, though, it is to our nation's great shame
that we even need the free clinics. :(

11. My husband is known
as the king of free samples in the town he practices in. He also knows the cheapest pharmacies to buy the meds he prescribes so he can direct his patients there.

pharma reps skip the lunches skip the cruises skip all of the perks just please give us every sample you can this is especially true of critical drugs like insulin, antibiotics, and bloodpressure meds the care providers understand and care it's the corporate people in both administration and insurance that do not

5. My Mom Used To Get All Kind Of Free Meds
But she didn't need it as much especially when Medicare started paying for a large percentage of her drugs.

6. Docs have been my best friends for the 2 decades I've been uninsurable
They've lowered their fees and contributed samples when they can, even squirreling them away against HMO policy if they knew I'd be coming in.

Docs are great. Drug companies, not so much.

10. Several years ago I needed cancer surgery and I did not have insurance.
I met a surgeon who treated me for months and performed surgery virtually for free. My only expenses were for the anesthesiologist and lab testing. If it weren't for him I would have lost everything. The amazing thing is that he was one of the top doctors in his field in the United States. People with money and the best insurance money could buy couldn't get in to see him but he listened to my story and he helped me.

From that day forward I never forgot how much I owed him but at the same time it made me realize that I was the lucky one. There aren't enough saints in the medical field to save us all.
