Here's my email to Nancy Pelosi:

Dear Speaker Pelosi-

I am writing to ask you to support HR333, Articles of Impeachment against Vice President Cheney.

I know in the past you have said impeachment was "off the table", and recently you said that George Bush "isn't worth impeaching".

I ask you to reconsider your position; this isn't about taking impeachment off the table, it's about putting the Constitution back on the table of American Government, front and center. George Bush as a man may not be worth the time and effort of impeachment proceedings, but the Constitution is worth every second and every penny.

By ignoring Bush and Cheney's high crimes and misdemeanors, and allowing them to complete their terms, a dangerous precedent would be set, damaging our Constitution, and the Rule of Law, perhaps beyond repair.

Impeachment would be a costly uphill battle, initially divisive, but, if the Constitution is kept center stage, and not partisan politics, I believe ulitmately healing and unifying for America.

Dear Speaker Pelosi,

I am writing to urge you to support and cosponsor HR333. I believe the Honorable Rep. Kucinich has shown the way to deliver the real message that the American people voted to send last November. We will not be lied to by our elected officials, especially at a cost of hundred of thousands of innocent lives and billions of taxpayer dollars. We will not turn a blind eye to corruption, cronyism, perversion of the proper functions of governance, etc. ad nauseum that this miserable individual epitomizes. From the early days of “Energy Task Force” to present, Dick C. has shown nothing but contempt for the system of checks and balances that have served our country well for these many years. Perhaps it is time we recognize this fact and treat him with the same contempt. By the time George Tenant’s book hits, and hopefully the Phase II intelligence report is finally presented, it will be painfully obvious to any who care to know, that the OVP conspired to perpetrate fraud on the Congress and the American people and invade another sovereign nation without just cause. This cannot be allowed to go unanswered. And there is only one appropriate answer. Kucinich knows what it is, and so should you.

Since your oft repeated remarks about impeachment being off the table, many things have changed. Perhaps it is the duty of our elected Representatives to: a) get a bigger table, or b) get the Sterno and the chafing dish out and bring the heat to “Mr. Nine Percent”.
