LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - An NBC Sports article is asking if a public relations firm had something to do with the firing of Mike Leach. The firm in question is the same firm that had a hand in the infamous Swiftboat Veterans Campaign against John Kerry during the 2004 Presidential race.

It was a week ago Friday that Leach was fired as head coach over allegations he mistreated wide receiver Adam James, the son of ESPN Commentator Craig James. Thursday, it was reported that Craig James announced his interest in running for Kay Bailey Hutchison's Senate seat.

1. I don't know how this helps him politically
Most people seem pretty pissed at James and his son. If TT craps out next year, they will get the blame. And it is likely Leach is going to drag both of them into court.
