There was a thread concerning his well-being a month or so ago. I was wondering if there were any updates. Has anyone heard from him? Is he okay?

Someone linked to a TN post he posted about 2 weeks ago but I haven't heard anything since. I sent him a PM stating I was glad to see him post again and got no reply which is kind of strange. :shrug:

On edit: I can't find it now but it seems that another DUer did the same APB for him a little later.

I favor goodbye threads or personal threads where people let us know they will be gone for a spell - yet often in the first case people get all pissy and tell people if they are going to leave just leave, etc.

You to get know folks here after time and it is natural to care about their well being. The internet is the new bar, so here is a drink to Tahitinut from me :beer:

Regardless, TahitiNut has always been one of my favorite DUers and he always makes such great and thought-provoking posts. I missed the thread you mentioned, but here's hoping for his speedy recovery.

This is probably a timely lesson to regular DUers to give a family member yr password just in case something does go wrong. I was lucky enough to be able to fumble my way round a keyboard a few weeks after having a stroke a few years ago, but after that happened, I've entrusted my passwords and list of friends with my daughter and she'd get in touch if anything went badly wrong with me...

68. As many already know, I have some health issues. I've told my

son that if something happens to please log in and let everyone know.

I've made some wonderful friends here. I've had a mini-stroke, right in the midst of two family crisis, and I remember that some DUers were very concerned when they didn't hear from me.

I think your post should be a thread of its own, VC. A good reminder that we are all a family here, warts and all. :hug:
